Pushpika has over 14 years of experience in the life insurance sector. She currently supports a composite insurance company based in Sri Lanka in the capacity of Chief Actuary on a secondment basis. Pushpika supports several on-going research projects as a key member and reviewer. She also plays a senior reviewer role in an Appointed Actuary project for a Sri Lankan firm. Pushpika has also been involved in M&A projects for the Asian region. She functions as a project lead for several projects involving product development and as Appointed Actuary. Prior to joining Milliman, Pushpika was attached to LOLC Life as Head of Actuarial, where she was primarily responsible for strategic decision-making and problem solving. Prior to joining LOLC she was at HNB Assurance PLC for over seven years in the capacity of Chief Actuary. Pushpika was a member of a number of board sub committees, including Risk, Audit, Strategic, Investment, and ALM.
